Do firefighters enter or try to stop the fire if no one is trapped in the building/house?

They will stop the fire, but there is no sense in entering a burning building and risking firefighters' lives if there is no one inside to save. They won't let it just burn down, though, unless there is no hope of saving it or if it is out of control (in which case they will contain it and let it burn itself down).
