Is it bad he didnt text back? i would really appreciate all opinions on this?

my ex has been indecisive about getting back together so i told him to make a decision by the weekend and he said why and i said because it has gone on too long that i need to know if hes stringing me along or not and that i have a horrible feeling hes going to hurt me all over again that he either wants to try and see what happens or move on and to make a decision by this weekend and he never text back. was i being too strong? is it bad that he didnt text back?
