I want to start fixing up a car but dont know which one to start with.?

I wanna choose in between these cars, Chevy Cobalt, Mitsubishi Lancer or Eclipse, or building up and making a skyline(alot more money needed). I wanna kno what yall think as far as costs and performance. Thank you everyone
