I Need A Guys Help Please?

I Have Just told someone i like that i wasnt going to listen to friends who say i shouldnt have anything to do with him bcs of a dark past but i told him i was still going to and he said "i dont want people near me really" what is that in boy language?? i need to know soon. thanks x
