Extremely rude daughter! Was this the right way to punish?

Although many people these days would say that you shouldn't have ed her it sounds like you did the right thing. For some kids, like mine, taking away things or grounding simply doesn't work. If you feel bad maybe later you can go and talk to her about it after she calms down.
